Not a premium capo at a premium price

Purchased 24k gold finish for lasting luster - after all Thalia claims to be the beautiful capo - read their story about Thalia thinking Taylor Swift needed a beautiful capo. Only a few months after receipt of my 24k gold capo the finish begins to tarnish. Quote from Thalia after contact regarding the tarnished 24k gold, "We're also very sorry but our warranty only covers mechanical failures...", going on to offer a one time 20% discount on a new purchase. It's beautiful, if you get a good one and it works well as a capo. it's also very large and in the way for many types of playing. You can purchase a similar quality without the premium price. Been buying capos for 50 years and none have finish issues like this new one. Over priced specialty products like this one should offer a replacement, especially when they market their product as being beautiful. Will not recommend to anyone without alerting them to potentially faulty finishes. I fully expect his review to be deleted or rewritten.

Beautiful Capo

I love this capo. It’s easy to use and it looks great on my Martin! I just wish I would have thought to look at the radius guide. Of course the Martins need a 16” high tension fret pad and the capo comes with 12” fret pads. I went and ordered the Tennessee Whiskey capo for my Custom Shop J45 Deluxe Triburst today. I also ordered a replacement 16” high tension fret pad for my Teal Angel Wing. Looking forward to receiving it and using them.

Too heavy

I bought this to allow me to shift keys quickly in a song. I find that it's not as easy as I had hoped and it's surprisingly heavy. Definitely not worth the money. It is pretty though.

Looks great but too big

If heard about these. Was eager to have one. Really wish I didn’t spend the money. They are too big. Hinders my left hand. Also doesn’t attach to headstock in order to be handy.

Capo

I purchased 3 capos one for me and gave the other two, to people I play music with. I personally don’t like the fact that I have to fine tune my top string when changing frets. Another complaint is that it’s a little too wide and gets in the way when using chords that require you to be close to the capo. Overall I’m not sure that I would recommend one of these to anyone else for these reasons. One more thing is the price is a little on the expensive side.

Fretboard Radius Guide By Guitar Make & Model

To achieve a perfect fit, the Thalia Capo comes with multiple interchangable fretpads so that you can match the fretboard radius of your specific instrument. The following table lists common fretboard radii used by major manufacturer.  If you do not find your specific brand and model below you can Google your guitar make/model plus the words "fretboard radius"; if that doesn't work you can use the manual method which is described here

Please Note:  12-String & 8-String Guitars should use our High Tension OctaveTouch fretpads to get the best performance.  Standard Tension and High Tension Rubber fretpads are included with every capo.  Our Teflon fretpads will likely not work on instruments with octave strings. size chart guide fret board
